This week has been a week of discovery. A week of learning new things. In fact, I've learned three new words this week (or at least words I haven't used in a long time.).
Rest: \ˈrest\ : freedom from activity or labor b : a state of motionlessness or inactivity c : the repose of death : peace of mind or spirit : something used for support : free of anxieties
lots of this.
coming in the form of books. lots of books. read the books. love the books.
re·lax: \ri-ˈlaks\ : to make less tense or rigid : to relieve from nervous tension :of a muscle or muscle fiber : to become inactive and lengthen : to seek rest or recreation : to attain equilibrium following the abrupt removal of some influence
lots of this.
coming in the form of sewing for fun, lovin' on my Sylvie girl, seeing my family, and eating at resteraunts without fear that anyone under my supervision is going to have a complete meltdown and do something completely inappropriate before I can get out the door.
re·ju·ve·nation: \ri-ˌjü-və-ˈnā-shən : to make young or youthful again : give new vigor to b : to restore to an original or new state
lots of this.
coming in the form of said rest and relaxation, having time to think, and not being yelled at every five minutes.
ahhhhhhhhhhh.
You needed all three of those, Super Mom! Here's to more of the 3 Rs!
ReplyDeleteI'm so thankful you're learning new words...but you're whittling away my belief that I can do this thing called foster care...
ReplyDeleteIt's . . . so . . . nice! You know, to feel like you are actually thinking! :~) To realize you're having a quiet, understandable thought. Enjoy it. Recharging is great. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHope your vacation continues to be a time of renewal, without guilt that is not from God (because I don't think that guilt can be from God).
ReplyDeleteThose photos of Sylvie for her Gran were priceless :)

I mean shame, not guilt.. gah, I don't know anymore, chalk it up to a sick baby who is refusing to sleep!! Either way. YAY VACATIONS!
ReplyDeleteHappy for you!!! I am hoping that I get to relive these three things one day. Working too hard to heal some hearts right now but maybe one day. :)
ReplyDeleteI really respect you for doing what was best for you and your family. Looking forward to reading about your adventures with your next kiddos. Maybe they won't be quite as adventurous as the boys. lol
Enjoy your vacation. God is really using you and your husband in the lives of many children. You deserve a break. God bless you.
i am so glad to hear it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are getting these things!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear it.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear about your time of reprieve. We took 3 years off of fostering and surprise of all surprises are thrust into it again! But this time around it is so much better. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the next little ones God brings your way.
Wow wow wow. I can't imagine experiencing those three words again, though I pray that day comes (hopefully by our foster son learning how to play by himself, cooperate, etc, rather than by him leaving... but who knows what will happen). I hope you really enjoy your quiet time.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to find another foster mom!
ReplyDeleteAmiable dispatch and this mail helped me alot in my college assignement. Thank you as your information.
