Please Pray.

Please pray for X-man.  Please. Please. Pray.

His current foster mom got a phone call today telling her to have all of their stuff ready, he and his brothers are being picked up this afternoon and going home permanently.

I can’t even explain how I’m feeling.

He came to us at 15 months weighing 12 pounds.  She almost killed him.  His brothers, at 4 and 5 were not even verbal.  No colors.  No numbers.  No alphabet.

She almost killed him.

Not to mention they are going from one hour supervised visits once a week to going home?!?!?!?  This is asinine.  Not only is it insane, but it’s not even fair to his mom – they are setting her up for failure.  Going from never taking care of any children, to taking care of three high needs kids by herself?

GIVE ME A BREAK.  CAN THE SYSTEM REALLY BE THIS SCREWED UP?

All I can figure is that the caseworker must have royally screwed up in court representing the evidence.  Because there is no excuse for this.

She almost killed him.

It should have been an open and shut case.  It was BAD.  Really, really BAD.

I don’t even know what to say.  And should probably stop anyway before I regret my ranting.  Please pray for them.  Please.  All I can see in my mind is his thin, sick little body the night they dropped him off.  He didn’t even know how to cry.

Please pray.  It’s my sweet boy.  I know that God knows this situation through and through, and he loves that boy more than I ever could.  But it is so hard to trust.

  2. I agree, if you can stay in touch with X-Man's mom, that would be great.

There's always hope for people, we don't have a right to judge anyone, only God is our judge.

People can change. Help her, it will help all of her children, her and you.

  3. That is horrible. We will pray for him and his family. These are things that are scary to my hubby and I as we go through everything to become foster parents.

  5. NO WAY! This is Ridiculous. I thought they were looking at charges that would put them away - for a VERY long time?? What in the world? How can this be? This makes me SICK! TONS AND TONS of prayers. This hits WAY too close to home. Praying for all of you, but especially WISDOM for those making these decesions.

  7. Praying, praying, praying. I don't really have any words because this hurts my heart so badly.

I agree with the above commenter about trying to keep in contact. Maybe ask the foster mom to put your cell number in with his stuff explaining you are always available to talk. That's what we've done a lot of the time.

Praying for you, x-man, his brothers, his other foster family, and his mom. God, keep Him safe. Help him go grow and thrive and be raised to know You.

  10. That sucks major. Thankyou, by the way, for being honest in your frustration and hurt. It helps to know we all feel the same sometimes in this fostering gig.

Praying for X-man & sibs & your family. Sometimes I just want Jesus to come back already.

  12. What in the world?! That makes no sense whatsoever. I'm all for reunifying families, but this is a disaster. I'm praying for X-man.

  13. Praying for X man and his brothers. This is the hardest part of foster care, when what the court rules and the (real)best interests of the children are so vastly different.

  14. I'm praying for this family right now. Thank you for writing about the good and bad of foster parenting. My heart is still so open to this. I'm just waiting for my husband's to open too.
